Electrotherapy (electrostimulation) is one of the physical therapies. It is used, among other things, to relax the muscles, promote blood circulation, reduce pain and improve healing. To do this, the physiotherapist usually applies electricity to the patient via electrodes that are stuck on.
What is it good for?
Electrotherapy uses electric current for therapeutic purposes. As a sub-area of physiotherapy, it is often used as an accompanying treatment for illnesses and complaints, for example to relieve pain.
You can have electrotherapy prescribed by your doctor, as a single service or in conjunction with another remedy such as physiotherapy, or you can book it as a personal service and pay for it yourself.
